Allocation Policy for first year undergraduate and postgraduate entrants

The demand for places is normally greater than the number of rooms available. Consequently, the University has an allocation policy in order to prioritise applications. International students who are attending the University for the first time are guaranteed accommodation, if applications are received by the Accommodation Office by the 1st of August. Priority is also given to those 1st year students attending the University for the first time (undergraduates and postgraduates) and who live furthest away from the University.
