Apply for a scholarship to study in China

If you have a strong desire to study in China or are doing studies related to China this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The Confucius Institute is offering a great scholarship for LSBU students to study in China. You can study Chinese Language & Literature, Education or History at Harbin Normal University (HNU) or Chinese Medicine at Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine (HUCM) for one semester or one academic year.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, accommodation costs, medical insurance and a certain monthly allowance will also be given.

Royal Court Theatre comes to Elephant and Castle

Watch a play in the Elephant and Castle Shopping centre

The Royal Court Theatre is taking productions out of its Sloane Square home and placing them in a shop unit at the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre. They have opened a temporary theatre for a new and exciting project called ‘Theatre Local’.

The project runs from March to August 2010 with a season of four plays.

All LSBU students are welcome. If you attend the first performance of each play you can choose to pay what you like or pay £5 per ticket for all other performances. Non students pay £8.

There are two performances a day.

The National Student Survey wants your feedback

Final year students at London South Bank University will soon receive an email inviting them to participate in the National Student Survey (NSS).

The survey is being conducted by Ipsos MORI, an independent market research company, and is supported by the National Union of Students (NUS).

The survey is your opportunity to give feedback on all aspects of University life including teaching and learning, assessment and placements.

The survey will take no more than a few minutes to complete. As a thank you for taking part this year £5 will be credited to the LSBU print account of every student who completes the survey online. In addition 10 LSBU students who complete the survey will be randomly selected by Ipsos - Mori to win £100 Amazon vouchers.
