Borough Road Gallery
Borough Road Gallery opened in June 2012, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Its exhibition and public programme uses A David Bomberg Legacy – The Sarah Rose Collection as a resource and inspiration. Exhibitions are animated by talks, newly commissioned texts, workshops and events by artists, art historians, curators, writers, and other thinkers, as well as new oral history recordings and a growing Digital Archive. The Gallery is part of London South Bank University’s multi-disciplinary School of Arts and Creative Industries.
Rather than the entire Collection being on permanent display, the Gallery instead offers a rolling programme of temporary exhibitions, each based on a different theme. Borough Road Gallery is currently closed whilst we change-over to the next exhibition. The next exhibition is “Keep the Paint Moving”: David Bomberg and the Art of Radical Teaching. During exhibitions, Borough Road Gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday from 12pm to 5pm. Entry is free. Please visit the Contact Us page for directions and a map.
