Borough Road Gallery
Borough Road Gallery opened in June 2012, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Its exhibition and public programme uses A David Bomberg Legacy – The Sarah Rose Collection as a resource and inspiration. Exhibitions are animated by talks, newly commissioned texts, workshops and events by artists, art historians, curators, writers, and other thinkers, as well as new oral history recordings and a growing Digital Archive. The Gallery is part of London South Bank University’s multi-disciplinary School of Arts and Creative Industries.
Borough Road Gallery’s current exhibition is The Elemental Force of Charcoal: Drawing at the Borough (23 October 2015 – 27 February 2016). For details of the exhibition please visit the Exhibitions page.
During exhibitions, Borough Road Gallery is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1pm to 5pm and on Saturdays from 12pm to 5pm. The Gallery has now reopened following the Christmas holidays; the first day to visit after Christmas is Wednesday 13 January 2016. Entry is free.
