Programme > Session types

IBEA 2011 will offer four types of session: competitive, interactive, panel and poster.

Competitive sessions refer to papers which are fully developed and ready for publication.

Interactive sessions are generally support work-in-progress types of paper. The conference will provide an excellent opportunity for formal feedback from other participants. The interactive paper is usually shorter than a competitive paper.

Panel sessions refer to proposals made by authors who wish to chair around a new common theme in addition to the proposed themes of the conference. However, panels may take different forms, such as round tables with no formal papers, professional development workshops or presentations.

Poster sessions allow for one-to-one networking. Two poster sessions are to be organised for Friday 7 and Saturday 8 October. Posters are a graphic and text description of a study or project which is created for viewing by those attending the conference.

Please note: submission of a manuscript under competitive mode does not lead to presenting the paper in a competitive session.
